Alternative Education
Glynn Learning Center is an alternative school setting that serves 2nd through 12th grade students who have been expelled from their homes schools using the state tribunal hearing process. Glynn Learning center provides a supportive, content-rich environment, and offers assistance and support to those students who are transitioning back to their home schools, college, or career. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum that is aligned with that of the Glynn County School System. Students are prepared to return to the home-school having received competitive academic standards as well as remedial assistance as needed.
In accordance with disciplinary terms, students in the Alternative School are restricted from teams and clubs. However, students have an opportunity to participate in the Ropes course and outdoor classroom, the peer mediation program, morning and afternoon tutorials, and a variety of additional support groups.
