We are excited to celebrate and congratulate Mrs. Ginger Grovner, our 2026–2027 Teacher of the Year (TOTY), and Ms. Jacquelyn Scott, our 2026–2027 Staff of the Year (SOTY)! Both outstanding honorees proudly represent the Risley Annex Building, home of GLC & Morningstar Academy.

🌟 Mrs. Ginger Grovner – Teacher of the Year

Mrs. Grovner joined Glynn County Schools in 2016 after coming from the Metro Atlanta area, where she gained valuable experience working with a diverse population of students. She began her Glynn County journey as a Special Education teacher at Glynn Academy, where she served for eight years. She now serves at Glynn Learning Center, where her dedication and passion for students continue to make a lasting impact.

Mrs. Grovner is cherished by her students and respected by her colleagues for her expertise, dedication, teamwork, support, and genuine love for students. Her commitment to education and the school community exemplifies the qualities of an outstanding Teacher of the Year.

🌟 Ms. Jacquelyn Scott – Staff of the Year

Ms. Scott accepted the position of Administrative Assistant for GLC & Morningstar Academy in January 2025. Since joining the Risley Annex family, she has become an exceptional coworker and an invaluable asset to our family.

Known for her warm smile, kindness, willingness to help, and dedication to serving others, Ms. Scott consistently goes above and beyond to support students, staff, families, the community, and the administrative team. Her positive spirit and commitment to helping others have made her a treasured member of the Risley Annex Building.
